Kindred’s team of therapists offer various evidence-based therapy modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). Our clinicians intentionally weave creativity and play into every session to build a strong, meaningful therapeutic relationship—no two sessions ever look the same. Using play therapy, art, games, and music, we create a welcoming and comfortable environment where children can thrive. Psychotherapy sessions are 45 minutes in length and are scheduled weekly or bi-weekly based on your child’s individualized treatment plan.

Meet the Therapists

Hannah Webb, LCSW

Owner

Hey there! My name is Hannah Webb, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and owner of Kindred Pediatric & Family Therapy, PLLC. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Child Development from East Carolina University and went on to receive my Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from UNC Chapel Hill. I’m a Wilson native, a wife, and a mother to three young children ages 6, 4, and 2. I deeply understand the joys, stressors, and exhaustion that can come with raising kids. Parenting is hard work, and no family should feel like they have to figure it all out alone.

I work with children and families navigating a wide range of concerns, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, oppositional behaviors, and trauma-related disorders. I take a highly individualized approach to treatment, tailoring care to your child’s unique symptoms, behaviors, and developmental needs. My goal is to help families find peace in their homes again, support children in addressing symptoms that may be holding them back at school or with peers, and walk alongside families as they navigate difficult life transitions such as divorce, family conflict, or loss.

I am certified in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) am excited to provide this evidence-based treatment to families in our community. PCIT is the most effective therapy modality for young children ages 2–7 and is considered the gold standard for addressing behavioral and emotional challenges in early childhood. Through PCIT, I work closely with parents in real time to strengthen parent–child attachment, reduce challenging behaviors, and build practical skills that lead to meaningful, lasting change in everyday family life.

I have a deep love for my community and the people who make it such a special place to call home. Kindred is truly my dream brought to life. I consider it both an honor and a privilege to ensure that our team provides the highest level of care in pediatric mental health to the children, teens, and families that we serve.

Kimberlin Smith, LMFT-A

Hi, I’m Kimber, a Goldsboro native and proud two-time Pirate after earning my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from East Carolina University. In my work as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFT-A), I support children, couples, and families with compassion, curiosity, and understanding. I provide holistic, evidence-based care, primarily using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I approach therapy from a systemic perspective, recognizing that relationships, environments, and life experiences all play a meaningful role in shaping individuals and families.

I strive to create a safe, welcoming space where children and teens feel comfortable being themselves and parents feel supported rather than judged. I help kids and teens better understand and manage their emotions,, and build practical coping skills they can use at home, school, and with peers. I work closely with parents to improve communication, strengthen connection, and develop tools that make everyday challenges feel more manageable. My goal is to support families in feeling more confident, understood, and equipped to navigate difficult seasons together while fostering meaningful, lasting growth.

Outside of the therapy room, I love anything active or creative—whether that’s cooking a new recipe, taking a Pilates class, or going for a long walk with a good playlist. I’m also a big fan of musicals—especially Wicked! My perfect weekend includes movement, music, and quality time with the people I love.
